Mother of 'The Simpsons' to pose for Playboy

The famous mother of the yellow-skinned family in Springfield, "The SImpsons," Marge Simpson will appear on the front cover of this month's issue of Playboy magazine.

Set to hit newsstands on October 16, Marge Simpson will do something that Cindy Crawford, Marilyn Monroe and Pamela Anderson all have done; appear on the front cover of Playboy magazine, which is also the first time that the pornography magazine will have a cartoon character in its magazine, according to the Associated Press. There will be no official nudity; however, it will contain implied nudity in the three-page pictorial. This latest move by the Playboy organization is to increase readership of 20-year-olds because their general demographic is 35-years-old. Playboy has also revealed that there will be an inside story titled “The Devil in Marge Simpson,” which contains an interview, pictures and a centerfold pullout, according to AFP. The issue is commemorating “The Simpsons” twenty years on television, reports Reuters. “It had never been done, and we thought it would be kind of hip, cool and unusual,” said Scott Flanders, the newest CEO of the company.
