A student from Parkdale Collegiate High School in Toronto was stabbed on Wednesday during the lunch hour off school grounds.
The victim, 17, was stabbed numerous times in the back by two unknown assailants. The stabbing took place near Queen Victoria Public School at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, according to Radmila Molobacic of the Toronto District School Board. It occurred Jameson Avenue.
The victim is in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Sergeant McKeown of the Toronto Police confirmed the age of the suspect. He said that the case is being handled by Division 14.
Division 14 Staff Sergeant Tulipano said that at this time there is no information about the two suspects that allegedly stabbed the young man today. The investigation is ongoing.
