Venezuela is discovering uranium deposits with the help of Iranian mining experts. The findings are proving to be significant.
Venezuela announced its intent to mine uranium with the assistance of Iranian experts, and the Venezuelan government indicated that the sources of uranium deposits are considerably large.
Iran is providing technical assistance in the discovery and analysis of the Venezuelan uranium, and the deposits have mostly been concentrated in the western areas of the country.
The Venezuelan announcement came shortly after Iran disclosed its second uranium enrichment facility. The news of the second uranium enrichment plant in Iran sparked immediate international protest, with noteworthy criticism coming from Russia and China.
The U.S. and its European allies have been suspicious of Iran's nuclear pursuits, believing that Iran desires a nuclear weapon. Iran has denied the accusation, saying they want nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
The announcement from Venezuela also comes after Brazil's acting president suggested Brazil build an atomic bomb.
