A high-ranking official of the international terrorist group al-Qaeda is believed to have been killed by American troops, Monday, during a daylight raid in southern Somalia.
According to reports, Saleh Ali Saleh Nabhan, one of the ringleaders of the terrorist group in Kenya, was one of those that have died when special forces used a helicopter to fire on a car that carries Nabhan's group.
Nabhan was involved in several attacks in East Africa, including the 1998 bombings of the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania which killed no less than 200 people.
Officials revealed limited information, suggesting the body believed to be that of Nabhan will be taken away and will be tested for positive identification.
American officials said Mr. Nabhan’s death is likely to send other suspects scurrying for cover. The
