Charlie Sheen is appealing to President Barrack Obama to reopen the investigation into the 9/11 attacks and is prompting outrage in the U.S. by suggesting the government was behind the attacks.
Charlie Sheen, the star of TV's
Two and Half Men claims that "the official 9/11 story is a fraud" and said the "commission set up to investigate the attacks was a whitewash", reports the
Telegraph.
Sheen makes his claims in a fictional interview with President Obama entitled
Twenty Minutes with the President [PDF].
He said in the letter that the attacks served "as the pretext for the systematic dismantling of our Constitution and Bill of Rights." He claims the administration of former president George Bush was behind them.
The transcript was published on the website of radio show host Alex Jones,
PrisonPlanet.com, two days ahead of Sheen's actual appearance on the show today.
In the letter he says that Osama bin Laden was "working for and with the CIA up until the day of 9/11."
In the transcript Sheen requests a real meeting with Obama.
Mr. Sheen has now followed up on the letter by appearing in a YouTube video asking President Obama to "be on the right side of history" by reopening the investigation into 9/11 reports
InfoWars.
In the video, Sheen spotlights several issues often cited by conspiracy theorists such as the collapse of the 47 story WTC 7 that was not hit by a plane but collapsed into its own footprint within 7 seconds, later in the afternoon on September 11 and reports from firefighters, police, first responders and others at ground zero, who all described explosions before the collapse of the twin towers and Building 7.
Sheen concludes by saying, “We want our country back Mr. President, therefore I’m not just calling on you I’m calling on your team, I’m calling on each and every American citizen to wake up, stand up, and demand the truth."
