Internet star "Buket" has been sentenced to three years and eight months for tagging a sign over the Hollywood Freeway and vandalizing a Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus.
The acts were caught on film and posted on You Tube. Buket is known for spraypainting his name in various locations in Los Angeles, at times risking his life for his graffiti art.
Buket was arrested numerous times for vandalism incidents. During the court proceedings today four of the charges were dropped.
In December Buket, AKA Cyrus Yazdani, 26, had plead guilty to 32 felony vandalism counts. In July he plead no contest to one charge and accepted the financial responsibility for five other incidents.
Yazdani was sentenced in December to 10 months in county jail, 256 hours of graffiti removal duty and five years' formal probation. He was released from jail on time served credits.
According to the Los Angeles County sheriff's office Yazdani has tagged his name at least 20 times. Those tags have cost the state at least $60,000 in damages.
