The "Fab Four," -- John, Paul, George and Ringo -- are back. This time, however, the Beatles magic is returning in the form of a new video game seeking to attract a younger audience.
The Beatles magic will embark an unknown territory, as the charisma of the celebrated rock brand will cross boundaries in the gaming industry.
Hoping to revive the struggling gaming industry, the video game "The Beatles: Rock Band" released Wednesday is expected to boosts video game sales.
"The industry hopes it will provide the lift that retailers, publishers and console makers desperately need for this holiday shopping season,"
Reuters.com reports.
"The Beatles: Rock Band," packed with 45 songs, was a product of collaborations between top gaming companies -- Harmonix Music Systems, Viacom Inc's MTV Games and Electronic Arts Inc.
According to reports the video game console could reach up to 2 million units sold.
The video game industry suffered a huge setback this year, in line with the global economic recession. "Sales of video games are down about 46 percent this year, according to NPD Group," Reuters.com further stated.
