If you want to have a dinner with the former Governor of Alaska and 2008 Republican Vice-Presidential candidate, be prepared to fork over $25,000.
In a charity auction for 'Ride 2 Recovery', which provides wounded veterans with bicycles and organized rides that would help them both physically and mentally, auctioneers could win lunches or dinners with the possible 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Sarah Palin ($25,000), Chief of Staff to the former George W. Bush administration Karl Rove and a former George W. Bush advisor (both $7,500), according to
The Associated Press.
The 10-day auction will begin on Tuesday and, according to Sarah Palin spokesperson Meg Stapleton, reports
CNN, ‘The Governor is excited to have been asked to honor our nation's veterans in this way.’
The popular online auction site Ebay.com will be hosting the auction.
However, $25,000 is peanuts compared to the $2.1 million paid for a lunch with
billionaire investor Warren Buffett in 2008.
