Norwegian man complains to police about prostitute, gets fined

In a Northern Norway, a new law was enacted that bans the purchasing of sexual services; however, a man used the services but it did not meet his satisfaction so he complained about it to the police.

After a new law went into affect in January 2009 that forbids the purchase of sexual services, a man, in Norway's northern province Troms, is the first to be fined under this act. Immediately after complaining about his trouble, he was given a fine of 8,000 Kroner, which is $1,300, because he felt that he was not given the best service from the prostitute. Station Chief Kurt Petterson told Norway newspapers, "He contacted the police because he felt he did not get the services he paid for." This incident took place in February but was not reported until Monday.
