World record sprinter Usain Bolt has shocked the world on multiple occasions, setting the world record in many different sprinting events, and is now ready to set records in the long jump event.
Usain Bolt could easily say that he is the fastest man alive, and has the world record and gold medals to back it up. Just this summer, Bolt shattered his world record 100 meter time that he set in the 2008 Beijing Olympics by an astounding .11 seconds. Aside from the 100 meter sprint, Bolt also holds the world record in the 200 meter sprint, and the 4x100 meter relay.
Usain Bolt is being talked about as one of the greatest track and field athletes ever, and would seem to have accomplished everything a man could in the sprinting world.
Apparently, Bolt is not happy with his 3 world records, and is now starting to talk about participating in the long jump competition.
"I definitely want to try the long jump. I think I'll be definitely a good long jumper, so I think I should try it before I retire," he said to Trinidad Express News during a pre-event press conference.
Bolt, at the prime of his career, seems to be the perfect candidate for the long jump event. With his speed, athleticism and leg strength, Bolt quite possibly could have success in the event.
Usain Bolt has achieved more than most people have in their life, but apparently wants to win more, and he is going to try his hand at the long jump competition, which could quite possibly lead to more gold medals for him in the future.
