Google has today announced on its blog that some individuals uploading videos in the United States will be prompted to apply for financial incentives from advertising placed in and around their videos.
Users who are eligible for financial returns from the advertising will receive emails from Google letting them know, and will be judged upon by a number of factors including "the number of views, the video's virality and compliance with the YouTube Terms of Service" Shenaz Zack, Product Manager said today on the Official Google Blog.
Now that we're ready to share these opportunities with a wider audience, we're excited to see how individual video partnerships will help even more people make money from their success on YouTube.
Users such as ValsArtDiary have had access to the advertising program for a while now along with those who made "popular one-off videos". Many people in the program have earned thousands of dollars from their videos.
