What lurks under the surface of the Lake Worth, Florida lagoon? A disturbing video reveals that something most assuredly does, but whatever it is defies definition. Read more about this unknown creature.
According to new sources, Lagoonkeepers.org has captured on video a mysterious creature swimming under the surface of a South Florida lagoon.
In the words of Greg Reynolds of Lagoonkeepers:
“Channel marker ten is the first time we saw the unknown creature. I hollered out...and said what is that? We followed it, started taking video. We sped up on it to catch up to it and we got up on it, it dove down." Every time we get 10 feet from it, it would just disappear.”
Don Serrano who was with Reynolds had this to say:
“I didn't know what it was….I was like HEY LOOK! And we moved over and saw it. It was different, very different…Little waves and …then … real long ones… I have no idea what it is, but it was something, that’s for sure…”
What could it possibly be? No one so far has been able to venture a guess and for now at least, the elusive creature has been dubbed: “the muck monster.” Thomas Reinert, a marine biologist from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission studied the video and had this to add to the mystery:
“This appears to be one animal moving in this direction…nothing's breaking the surface. Typically dolphins break the surface, sea turtles, manatee, a large school of fish, if it were a shark at that level you would see a fin. I can’t definitely say what it is. I can speculate, but we need more evidence to determine the identity of the Lake Worth muck monster.”
Could the Loch Ness creature from Scotland have found warmer swimming grounds or… is he or she visiting relatives?
Time may never tell.
Meanwhile, sleep well.
