On Sunday, Independent Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman had a message for possible actor-turned-politician Alec Baldwin: make my day.
During
CNN's State of the Union on Sunday, Senator Joe Lieberman had only one thing to say to Alec Baldwin: bring it on.
Alec Baldwin recently made comments in
Playboy Magazine regarding a possible move to the state of Connecticut and challenging Lieberman in 2012, "I have no use for [Lieberman]." Lieberman responded on Sunday, "You know, make my day. I respect Alec Baldwin as an actor and as a comedian. If he wants to run, that’s his right.”
The Democrat-turned-Independent has been the subject of much controversy throughout politics. In 2006, Lieberman lost the Democratic Senate primary in his state in 2006 due to his support for President George W. Bush and his decision to invade Iraq. Nevertheless, he ran as an Independent and held onto his seat in Connecticut and is not up for re-election until 2012.
