Woman at town hall yells 'Heil Hitler' at Jewish man

By Kevin Jess     Aug 19, 2009 in Politics
Tempers flared at a Las Vegas town hall on health care last week. That only begins to describe the video of the exchange between a Jewish man and an unidentified woman.
Think Progress says Conservatives have strenuously denied that there is any anti-Semitism on display by anti-health reform protesters at town hall meetings nationwide.
More than 2,000 people packed Stoney’s Bar Friday for a chance to have their voices heard. It was a packed house, full of opinions and no shortage of passion reports Fox News.
The town hall meeting, led by conservative KDWN radio host Heidi Harris, was attended largely by residents opposed to President Barack Obama's health care reform plan.
But not everybody in the room was against the plan. Though substantially outnumbered, their voices didn't go unheard. One of those voices was a Jewish man giving a positive picture of the health care system in Israel.
While he was speaking to reporters a woman yells "Heil Hitler" at him.
The man got very upset, saying "Shame on you" over and over again, reports Huffington Post. The woman countered by saying, "Well, you ought to be the most against President Obama."
The man responded by saying, "I want to talk, not against Obama or for Obama. I want to talk about [health care]." He continued to explain his experience with the American health care system but the woman mocked him by showing fake crying.
