It has now been confirmed that famous American comedian Jerry Seinfeld will be the first guest on the new NBC show The Jay Leno Show.
The star and co-creator of Seinfeld, and the next guest on Larry David's Curb Your Enthusiasm, will appear as the first guest on the new NBC show, which will make its premiere on September 14, The Jay Leno Show, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Alongside Jerry Seinfeld will be guests R&B singers Kanye West, Rihanna and Jay-Z, who will perform on the premiere.
After ending his 17-year run on The Tonight Show, Leno said that this new 10 p.m. show will have more comedy and less interviews of celebrities plugging their new motion picture or television series.
The United States television industry is closely following this new venture because the struggling NBC network is replacing a scripted drama series at 10 p.m. with the Jay Leno show, which will cost less to produce and, hopefully, become a ratings-friendly talk show five nights a week.
According to Reuters, Leno believes the new program will offer more comedy and fewer celebrities on couches promoting their latest projects.
