article imageNew Dallas Cowboys stadium 95 per cent sold out for 2009 season

By Andrew Moran     Aug 12, 2009 in Sports
After spending $1.15 billion on a new stadium, the upcoming 2009 season for the Dallas Cowboys already seems to be a success.
More of a luxury stadium than a sports stadium, team spokesperson Brett Daniels says the new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington is 95 per cent sold out and only a few thousand tickets remain.
According to the Associated Press, 22,000 'party pass' tickets have been sold, which is $29 per ticket. The new stadium has 180,000 square feet built into the new stadium so fans can 'hang out.' A lot of the space has decks and patios. 'Party pass' tickets are basically standing-room only.
The stadium has a retractable roof and 300 luxury suites. The Dallas Cowboys play their first game in the new stadium on August 21 against the Tennessee Titans in a preseason game.
