Who wouldn't love to buy a 52-inch television for $9.99? Apparently, Best Buy was selling them for that low, low, low price Wednesday morning. Or were they?
If you were on BestBuy.com early Wednesday morning then you might have seen the retailer listing a 52-inch Samsung HDTV for only $9.99. The original price of such a television would actually cost $4,000.
Customers immediately jumped at such a deal however, to the disappointment of consumers, it was a pricing error and such price for the television was no longer available.
The company left a recorded message on their customer line telling customers "we will not be placing any more orders for this unit."
Best Buy went as far as messaging Twitter users and apologizing "for any disappointment."
