Another earthquake has hit an Asian country in the month of August. No damages or injuries were reported after the 6.5 magnitude hit Japan.
According to Japan's country's Meteorological Agency, a 6.5 magnitude has hit the eastern part of Japan.
The country is the most prone to an earthquake in the world and many researchers and analysts believe that there is a 90 per cent chance that a devastating earthquake will hit Japan within the next 50 years.
The quake hit Japan at 7:49 a.m. off the ocast of Hachijo, which is a small island 170 miles south of Tokyo.
In 1995, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake killed 6,500 people in the western city of Kobe.
