A tribute for late singer Michael Jackson is scheduled for September 26 in Vienna at Shoenbrunn Palace, with 90,000 fans expected to attend.
Preliminary details of a tribute to late pop star Michael Jackson scheduled for September 26 have been released by the event promoter, World Awards Media Gmbh. The late singer's brother, Jermaine Jackson will provide more complete details at a news conference later this month.
The tribute is to be held at the 17th century Shoenbrunn Palace in Vienna, Austria, a venue with room for 85,000 general admission spectators and 5,000 VIP guests. There will be approximately 10 artists who will perform 15 to 20 of Michael Jackson's hits, as well as Hollywood stars honoring Jackson while images and videos are shown. Some of the rumored performers have been reported as Whitney Houston, Madonna, Lionel Richie and U2, however this has not been confirmed.
Tickets for the Michael Jackson tribute are expected to go on sale August 20, the price of each is undetermined presently.
