LONDON- It was reported that during a robbery in London two men have made off with 40 million pounds worth of jewellery.
Police spokespersons said that it was the second biggest loot ever stolen during a robbery in the United Kingdom.
The robbery at Graff jewellers in the upmarket district of Mayfair took place on the sixth of August but the British police only publicised the size of the loot on Tuesday.
The perpetrators made off with forty-three rings, bracelets, necklaces and watches.
Police describe the robbers as extremely dangerous, as reported by the BBC. They fired a weapon twice in a busy street as they were making their getaway. They used at least three getaway vehicles.
In 2006, 53 million pounds were stolen during a robbery of a money depot in the English county of Kent.
