We take a look back over the past week of tech news, ranging from the Microsoft-Yahoo deal to Twitter mayhem as DDoS attacks take the site offline.
This time of year is notoriously slow for tech news, but here's what has made headlines:
Twitter under attack - Matthew Moran and KJ Mullins both reported on the recent spam attacks on Twitter which saw the site down for hours and third-party applications only just beginning to come back online with full functionality.
Yahoo and Microsoft finally close ad deal - Last week the Microsoft-Yahoo deal was finally announced, and this week it was revealed that 400 Yahoo employees will be transferred to Microsoft to continue working in the new search division.
Google CEO Eric Schmidt steps down - In a move that many have seen a long time coming, Google CEO Eric Schmidt was booted off the Apple board of directors this week, claiming a 'conflict of interests between the companies'.
Digital Radio launches in Australia - This week Digital Radio launched in Australia, with events and live broadcasts held in all major cities through out the country to celebrate.
Bloggasm's Simon Owens Talks Citizen Media, Blogging - KJ Mullins had a one-on-one interview with Bloggasm's Simon Owens about Bloggasm, a site that really shows the way of modern journalism.
