MAINZ- German Jews are no longer in favour of banning the book 'Mein Kampf'' by the former German dictator Adolf Hitler.
The Central Council of German Jews supports an annotated publication of the controversial ideological text. German media
reported the story.
Secretary-General Stephan Kramer of the Council said that a scientifically treated edition would be useful and important.
The Jewish organisation aligns itself with plans by an institute from the Bavarian capital Munich that aims to publish 'Mein Kampf' again.
The Bavarian Ministry of Finance, which owns the book’s copyright, is not in favour of a new edition. However, the copyright will become free on 31 December 2015, seventy years after Hitler’s death at the end of World War II. In the book, the future Fuehrer sets out his political and anti-Semitic views.
