A new poll suggests that the American people want Sarah Palin to stay home, while only a small percentage of Americans want the former Governor of Alaska to be President.
In a recent Fox News/Opinion Dynamics poll, which was released Tuesday, six per cent of respondents interviewed believe the former Governor of Alaska would be well suited as President of the United States. While 32 percent of interviewees believe she should become a homemaker.
The poll, which was conducted before her official resignation on Sunday, showed that her disapproval rating increased to 51 percent. The former Republican Vice-Presidential candidate came third in polling for the 2012 Republican Presidential Primaries. Mitt Romney, the former Governor of Massachusetts, was first and Mike Huckabee, former Governor of Arkansas, came in second place.
A spokesperson for Mrs. Palin stated that the former Mayor has no plans to run for the nation’s executive branch.
Amongst other parts of the poll, 17 percent believe Mrs. Palin would be great as a television talk show host, 14 percent think she should become the next Vice-President and 10 percent of respondents interviewed think she would be a good college professor.
Of all Republican respondents, only 12 percent believe Sarah Palin should become President.
This latest poll was conducted between July 21 and July 22, which interviewed 900 respondents. It has a margin of error of +/- 3 percentage points.
