The Republican National Committee will
commit $1 million during August's recess on a health care campaign that will try to sway constituents into not supporting Pres. Obama’s proposal on health care reform.
This newest Republican campaign will be in the form of radio ads and television commercials however, the RNC did not reveal who the target audience would be. Each ad will run for sixty seconds. Also there will be Internet ads and other grassroots activities.
RNC spokesperson Gail Gitcho told CNN, “The Democrats targeted by the RNC radio ad have campaigned on fiscal responsibility, and now these Democrats are being held accountable to their campaign promises as they prepare to vote on a government-run health care bill that will cost American taxpayers $1.6 trillion, add to the record budget deficit and burden American families and small businesses with higher taxes.”
Ads by the RNC will oppose 60 Democrats, including: Illinois Rep. Deborah Halvorson, Kentucky Rep. Ben Chandler, Michigan Rep. Bart Stupak and Michigan Rep. Mark Schauer. You can view the entire list

The GOP will hold "tele-town hall" meetings during the Congressional recess.
