Protesters from around the globe condemn Iranian rights abuses

Activists from different parts of the world are in unison, Saturday, calling for an end to the ever-increasing human rights abuse in Iran.

Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International, two international human rights watchdog led the demonstration in 80 cities worldwide. According to the protesters, there are about hundreds and even thousands of opposition activists detained by the government. Following last month's disputed election that allowed President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to stay in power. Demonstrations in Tehran turned into a complete catastrophe as pro-government militia men and Iranian police attack hundreds of protesters. In New York City, a small group of Iranians staged a three-day hunger strike just off Times Square while in Amsterdam hundreds of people led by Iranian Nobel Peace prize laureate Shirin Ebadi urged the international community to reject the result of the "fraudulent" election. In parts of Europe about 500 combined activist filled the streets of Vienna, Austria and Rome condemning the martial law-like scenario in Iran. Meanwhile, small rallies were staged simultaneously in several Australian cities. The global demonstration also includes protest rallies in Geneva, Paris, Copenhagen, Tokyo, Oslo and Seoul.
