Charity event in honor of Michael Jackson for Music Education in Las Vegas will be held at The Pearl at the Palms Casino and Resort in Las Vegas with 100% of money raised to go to the Clark County School District.
Michael Jackson’s 51st birthday is going to be celebrated and remembered for a good cause at the Palms Casino and Resort in the Pearl Theater on Saturday, August 29th at 3pm. This is a fundraiser in honor of Jackson to benefit Music Education in Clark County Public Schools.

This event is sponsored by 6W Entertainment in partnership with Vegas Happens Here.com. Cast members of Jersey Boys, Lion King, Peepshow, and Phantom are already on the charity event bill. This event is being touted as a Las Vegas spectacular, which includes video montages from those who knew him, Vegas artists performing many of the hit song of Michael Jackson, and a 10 piece band backing up the event led by Joey Melotti. There will be more added to the bill in the coming weeks
100% of the proceeds from tickets from this event will benefit Music Education programming in Clark County Schools.
In a press release statement from Co-producer Erish Bergin and Host, “I can’t think of a better way to pay tribute to the person who inspired me and a whole generation of performers. This even helps keep the music of Michael Jackson alive, while raising money to make sure music education stays alive in the schools of our community.”
In an interview with the other co-producer Steve Friess, “I’ve been a huge fan of the Michaels music since I was a child,” he went on to say, “We want to celebrate the music since over the past few years the negative media persona has led people away from his music.”

Freiss continued to say, “The Palms donated the Pearl for the event, and the all the money raised will be going to supplement funding for Music Education in the schools in Las Vegas.”
Freiss continued with, “I want to stress that this event is not memorializing him, it’s a celebration of Michaels Jackson’s music in an attempt to reclaim his music that has been overshadowed by the negative media publicity.”
Finally Freiss said, “Michael Jackson’s death as amazingly giving his music a new life and a new opportunity to be heard again.”
Tickets for this event, Las Vegas Celebrates Michael Jackson go on sale Saturday, July 25th. Prices are ranging from $29 to the $129, with a VIP package available for $504 which includes admission to the exclusive after party with the cast, gift bag, and limited edition autographed poster. Tickets are available through Ticket Master or the Pearl Box office located at the Palms Casino and Resort on Flamingo in Las Vegas.

The Pearl Theater at the Palms Casino and Resort is Vegas’ new premier venue with 2,500 seats, with seating from anywhere in the theater no further that just 120 feet to the stage, featuring private and semi-private skyboxes. The Peal Theater is hard wired to The Studio at the Palms, their state of the art music recording studio where reports from Las Vegas News television stations just yesterday said that Michael Jackson had spent time recently recording music.
