Indonesian Defense Minister Juwono Sudarsono visited the Metropolitan Medical Center (MMC) hospital on July 18 to show his deepest sympathy to all the wounded victims of Jakarta's hotel bombings.
Juwono spent about 50 minutes at the MMC hospital, and spoke to some of the victims. After their meeting, Juwono also expressed his concern.
"Heartbreaking. Some in severe condition," said the Defense Minister when asked about the condition of the victims.
Juwono was with a victim treated on the third floor for about 40 minutes. On the third floor, Juwono spent time with another six victims, including three Indonesian citizens and three foreigners.
"My condolences to all of the victims, Both to Indonesian citizen and to foreigner," he said.
At the MMC hospital, 15 victims are still being treated and three of them are in critical condition. They are being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
There are also several victims who have been discharged or decided to get treatment at other hospitals, including overseas.
