From theater to the silver screen, John Goodman has had a very successful career as an actor, and now it appears that he will be returning to the platform where audiences might be the most familiar with him: Television.
From 1988 to 1997, John Goodman played Dan Conner on the hit comedy Roseanne. Now nearly 12 years later, Goodman has an opportunity for a successful return to television on the Ben Stiller produced comedy "The Station".
According to Variety.com, "The Station" takes place at a South American outpost (Altamara Station) where a crew of less than stellar CIA operatives are responsible for bringing in a new dictator.
The cast for this Fox comedy pilot from writer Kevin Napier ("Assassin Emeritus") features Justin Bartha ("The Hangover")as Eric, Julio Oscar Mechoso("Without A Trace") as Sherman, Rob Huebel("Human Giant") as Hank, and Whitney Cummings ("House M.D.") as Mia. Goodman will play Ted Gannon, the hardened CIA vet and leader of the station.
David Wane ("The State", "Role Models") is set to direct the pilot, and Ben Stiller, Jeremy Kramer, and Stuart Cornfeld are executive producing this Twentieth Century Fox show through Stiller's Red Hour Films.
In addition to his role in "The Station", Goodman will be working on two films, "Thicker" and "The Cross", both are set to be released sometime next year.
