TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras – After dismal failures in the negotiation proceedings, supporters of ousted President Manuel Zelaya are now impatiently calling for more protest and strikes.
Following Zelaya's statement that citizens has a right to rebel against the interim government which of course is an inherent right.
Zelaya's followers seem to heed on their leaders call, as thousands of pro-Zelaya activist marched throughout the capital city, demanding Zelaya's return come Wednesday.
Labor leader Israel Salinas, a main figure in the pro-Zelaya movement urged his fellow laborers at government-owned companies to stage a mass walk-out later this week.
Protest organizers are also seeking the approval of union leaders and private companies to craft out a huge strike against the interim government and acting President Roberto Micheletti.
Micheletti, who claimed the presidency by virtue of a military coup d'etat, threatened Zelaya that he will be arrested upon his return in the country.
Meanwhile, the talks are to resume by Saturday mediated by Costa Rican President Oscar Arias however, Zelaya and his supporters seem to be frustrated for lack of progress.
