Arum and Roach Lay Down Fight Scenario For Pacquiao in 2010

Bob Arum of Top Rank and Freddie Roach lay down possible fight scenario for the Filipino boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao in early 2010.

"Mayweather won't fight as right now. Mayweather is fighting in September. There is no way he can be ready until next year. I think the winner of Cotto-Manny fight could face Mayweather," said Arum in a recent interview with Sports Chat. The ageless promoter went on to say that " Manny can only fight one fighter at a time. Down the road next year, there always be Mosley and of course Mayweather." Bob Arum knows that he controls the boxer whom everyone wants to fight. A fight with Pacquiao would not only bring big purse but also increased popularity and name recognition. In a separate interview with Sports chat, Freddie Roach also mentioned his fight scenario for the Filipino boxing superstar. "My perfect scenario is fight Cotto and get him out of the way. Fight Mayweather and get him out of the way. I don't care what happens after that. I want to see Manny become the King of the world." said Freddie, who is very supportive of Manny throughout his boxing career. "He has nothing left to prove."said the popular trainer. He said that if Pacquiao "wants to be a politician, so be it " If he wants to join politics, it is his choice.If he keeps fighting, I will love to help him."
