BEIJING, China – US delegates headed by U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu and Commerce Secretary Gary Locke visit China -- their ancestral homelands, to talk and iron out issues concerning climate change and greenhouse emissions.
The two officials was presumed to have been sent by US President Barack Obama to set the stage for bigger and more
concrete talks in forging out a deal that will strengthen the fight against global warming.
Chu and Locke, who are both of Chinese descent will talk to Senior Chinese officials and will map out further collaborations in cutting greenhouse gas emissions, that according to them would benefit both nations and in the long-run, the entire planet itself.
Authorities believed that an agreement between the world's largest developed country and the world's largest developing country, in return would be of advantage to mankind.
Just recently, the G-8 summit in Italy also tackled environmental issues, global warming and other like concerns.
