Independent researches from Australia, United States and Britain suggest that taller people are most likely to earn more money and are scientifically proven to have better financial opportunities.
According to the
latest study in Australia, taller people are perceived to be much more intelligent and powerful. Hence taller people are said to exhibit a greater extent of leadership.
Study co-author Andrew Leigh, an economist at the Australian National University said that an average man standing 5 feet 10, can earn an extra $950 per year -- if and only if he can add up at least two more inches on his height.
Arianne Cohen, author of "The Tall Book" estimated that a taller person earns $789 more per inch on an annual basis.
Cohen who crafted out her book using data from 2003 reviews of four large U.S. and UK studies noted that taller people seem to have a "halo in the society."
On the other hand, a separate research led by University of Florida professor Timothy Judge concludes that the comparative statistics show that a seven-inch difference in height is proportionate to a $5,525 difference in salary.
Studies also laid out that taller persons earned much more respect and is rated high especially in an organizational workplace such as the office.
However, the studies were just mere averages. Of course shorter people can still beat the odds.
