Honduran de facto FM has resigned but not before insulting United States President Barack Obama. The insult came before he took the position after President Zelaya was forced into exile during a military coup.
Foreign Minister Enrique Ortez Colindres called President Obama a "little black man" before he was put into the FM position after a military coup in Honduras. He resigned from his position Friday. Colindres is not out of a job though being reappointed as Interior Minister by the interim government on Friday.
On Tuesday Colindres was condemned by U.S. Ambassador to Honduras Hugo Llorens for saying that Obama was a "black man who does not know where Tegucigalpa is."
It has not been announced who will take over the role of foreign minister for the interim government in Honduras. Colindres was appointed to the position on June 28, the same day that President Manuel Zelaya was ousted by a military coup. Zelaya is in exile in Costa Rica.
