After a disappointing report on jobs data in the wake of record stimulus spending, President Obama's approval ratings hit a new low.
With the challenge of a dismal Jobs report released just last week, President Obama is losing considerable support among the voting public, with the latest Rasmussen survey reflecting Obama's lowest approval ratings to date.
While 30 per cent of American voters strongly approve of the way President Obama is performing, 38 per cent strongly disapprove.
"The President’s Approval Index rating has fallen six points since release of a disappointing jobs report last week," according to Rasmussen Reports daily tracking poll.
Around 43 per cent of Americans polled now believe Obama is doing a poor job.
And while unemployment jumped to 9.5 percent in June and America has lost 6.5 million jobs since December 2007, Rasmussen Reports writes, "Just 27% of voters nationwide favor passage of a second economic stimulus package. Sixty percent (60%) are opposed."
