Freddie Roach's talk of a Hatton-Khan showdown is a real possibility if the Bolton light welterweight wins the WBA title from Ukranian Andreas Kotelnik on July 18 in Manchester England.
Heavyweight title contender David Haye would support Roach's prophetic thoughts about an all British boxing showdown. He has been very vocal about Hatton having a farewell fight with Khan in front of thousands of fans. David mentioned that Hatton can't leave boxing with a devastating knockout loss from Manny Pacquiao.
It is not only Freddie and David Haye talking about a Hatton-Khan fight. The British boxing fans have been blogging about it. It is high time that boxing promoters should look into this potential megafight.
" I'd like to see Hatton retire but I think he'll want to go after Amir's title and if he does I'm sure it would be a huge fight. I think it could happen sooner rather than later, to be honest with you. If we win this title he'll be knocking on our door". said the American boxing coach n a recent report from Metro, a free London newspaper.
