Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, the songwriters behind some of the biggest hits of ABBA are to take to the stage in London later this year. The concerts are set for September.
The event is to be called Thank You For The Music... A Celebration Of The Music Of Abba' and it will be staged in Hyde Park on September the 13th.
The concert will have guest vocalists singing some of the most well known ABBA songs from their back catalogue and the show has been arranged with the backing of Radio Two.
It is yet to be confirmed which artists will be appearing at the concert.
There has also been some speculation that the band may have gotten back together to cover some of the concert dates that have been left empty at the 02 arena in London due to the sudden death of Michael Jackson but Benny Andersson has said this will not happen.
Speaking on the Jonathan Ross show which is shown one BBC One, Benny Andersson said:
"No-one's asked us, and if they did we wouldn't say yes,"
The foursome last appeared together in 2008 when the premiere of the Mamma Mia! stage show was held in their home country of Sweden.
Speaking then band member Bjorn Ulvaeus said:
"There is simply no motivation to re-group.
"Money is not a factor and we would like people to remember us as we were. Young, exuberant, full of energy and ambition."
