On July 20th, 1969, Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong became the first men on the moon as astronauts on the Apollo 11 space mission.
In commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the moon landing Aldrin, aka Doc Rendezvous, teamed up with rappers Snoop Dogg and Talib Kweli to release his new rap single, “Rocket Experience."
In a recent interview, Aldrin asserted that his two passions in life are “space exploration and hip-hop.” He successfully marries both of his hobbies as he raps about the “rocket experience” over the soulful crooning of a background chorus.
Unlike most modern hip-hop, “Rocket Experience” delivers a positive message about the joys of learning through exploration as Aldrin offers to guide his listeners to the stars.
