The BET awards show will pay tribute to Michael Jackson tonight at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Joe Jackson, the father of Michael will attend the show.
Black Entertainment Television, better known as BET hosts an awards show tonight. The show will pay tribute to Michael Jackson. The annual BET awards show recognizes the contributions of African Americans in the arts and entertainment field.
However, with the death of Jackson, the show wanted to pay tribute to Jackson. Many artists who probably would not have attended the show, will be at the show out of their respect and love for Michael Jackson. Joe Jackson is the only Jackson family member attending the show.
Joe Jackson told CNN that his son is bigger now than when he was alive and that he wished he was here to see all the love people were showing him. Jackson also said the family is dealing with death of his son and working on funeral arrangements. Some of the artists that are attending the show are: Alicia Keys, Jamie Foxx, Nichelle Nichols, P. Diddy, Beyonce, Chaka Khan and Ving Rhames.
