The King of Pop, Michael Jackson is dead. Jackson was pronounced dead 3:15. According to TMZ, Michael Jackson went into cardiac arrest at his home.
Jackson was reportedly dead before the paramedics arrived. The paramedics tried to revive him but were unsuccessful. Fire department Captain Steve Ruda told the Los Angeles Times "When paramedics arrived at his house he was not breathing."
According to the Times, Pop star Jackson was pronounced dead by doctors after arriving at a hospital in a deep coma. Jackson was then rushed to the UCLA Medical Center. When Jackson arrived at the hospital doctors tried to resuscitate him.
CBS and the Times have confirmed that Jackson, 50, is indeed dead.
Jackson's death comes as a shock to fans and those closest to him. Although many fans were recently worried about Jackson's health, no one expected this. Some rumors are already circulating that Jackson died of a suicide, not cardiac arrest.
Jackson was set to make a comeback tour this summer at London's O2 Arena.
Whether you loved or loathed him, his music or his off-stage behavior, the fact is that he led a remarkable life in many ways.
