It's time for the Cavaliers to have a Shaq attack. Shaquille O'Neal was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday. If all is okayed the deal could be finalized as early as Thursday.
Shaq has made his rounds in professional basketball during his 17-year career. The future Hall of Famer is one of the league's all time best centers.
The Cleveland Cavaliers needed Shaq with their stars Ben Wallace and Sasha Pavlovic both having expiring contracts. There are talks that Wallace is considering retirement. Both Wallace and Pavlovic are heading to the Suns as par the trade.
Shaq has a $20 million contact with the Suns. The Phoenix team could save much needed money with the trade.
Shaq, 37, has averaged 24.7 points a game in the 1,117 NBA games he has played since first signing with the Orlando Magic in 1992. O'Neal was signed by the Magic when he was a junior at Louisiana State.
O'Neal has been selected the most valuable player of the NBA final three times in a row.
