Although his net worth already suggests a vast amount of riches, it's still quite an enigma given the fact that in the
2008 issue of the Forbes magazines top 40 richest Filipinos. He ranks at 11th place with an estimated net worth of $425 million.
Likewise Villar's wife, congresswoman Cynthia Villar registered a a net worth of P1.047 billion -- a million more than that of senator Villar.
Rep. Villar who reported not having any liabilities, is the sole billionaire amongst all the lower house legislators.
On the other hand, the poorest amongst all the senators is senator and Magdalo leader Antonio Trillanes who purports P2.9 million of net worth.
