Last week, British musician Sonique, best known for her dance hit "It Feels So Good," was diagnosed with breast cancer. This week sees the singer and DJ continue to lose the battle, with reports that the cancer has spread.
An article from Female First has received confirmation that the cancer has spread from Sonique's agent, Cath Mackenzie.
"As you would imagine she was very distressed", Mackenzie said. "The surgeon doesn't feel he got all the cancer out. She is bearing up very well but yesterday was a difficult day when she heard the news".
The award-winning musician, born Sonia Clarke, underwent surgery on Monday in London, but was told the news of the spread shortly afterwards. Clarke has reportedly just come out of her second surgery.
Sky News have confirmed that doctors working with Sonique believe that the cancer has spread to the lymph nodes under her arms, and possibly to her organs.
Clarke was planning a new single and tour at some stage of the year, but it it unknown if these plans will still go ahead.
