In keeping with the tradition of taking your mobile phone with you wherever you go, comes this sleeveless white dress designed by a British fashion student that alerts the wearer whenever the phone rings by lighting up! Read on and well, do something.
According to news sources, British fashion student, Georgie Davis, has incorporated new technology into the world of fashion with the creation of a knee-length sleeveless white dress that will serve, via Bluetooth wireless technology, as a mobile phone alert in the noisiest of places. What has started out as a school project has blossomed into a new product with the help of Sony Ericsson.
Publicizing this clever creation is Wimbledon champion, Maria Sharapova, who presented this new prototype dress to a horde of news reporters. What makes it so special and so different is the right shoulder of the dress, which is embellished with white scales that move and light up when the phone rings.
Davis feels his creation will fill a need as many times a phone cannot be heard above the din of a crowded bar or pub.
Still there are two things Davis didn’t consider .
What if the wearer is looking over her left shoulder when the phone rings?
Now the wearer knows the phone is ringing but can she …find the phone?
Ah, there is the formal wear rub.
