U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton fractured her right elbow Wednesday during a fall. She will have surgery to repair her elbow in a week.
In a statement released late Wednesday, Chief of staff Cheryl Mills said the Secretary of State injured her elbow after tripping and falling as she was heading to the White House.
Clinton, 61, was treated and released from George Washington Hospital, just a few short blocks from the State Department.
Clinton is at home. She will resume her full schedule soon.
