article imageTalent show sensation feels the strain of tour

The stress of the Britain's Got Talent national tour is apparently taking its toll on the program's biggest drawcard, Scottish singer Susan Boyle, best known for her performance of "I Dreamed A Dream" on the program.
After performing twice at one day in Sheffield, Miss Boyle was taken back London by her entourage; who have feared for her health ever since her widely-publicised stint at a rehabilitation clinic following the grand final edition of the show.
She agreed to take a "rest day", skipping the Manchester date of the tour. She did, however, rejoin the tour the next day to perform in her native Glasgow. On the way back to her hotel, however, Boyle was mobbed by some of her devoted Scottish fans, who were waiting for her after her performance.
Nicola Phillips, Boyle's publisher, noted that the shows thus far have gone "really well". She was also quick to emphasise, however, that Susan "will be having sporadic rest days throughout the tour".
According to a report from the Indian Express, Boyle must attempt to rest and avoid exhaustion and stress which could potentially cause another meltdown. Her tour manager has been quoted as stating that "Susan has been advised to rest"...although he also added that Boyle herself feared that she was letting down her fans. "She sends her sincere apologies to her fans for not appearing at Manchester’s MEN Arena", he was heard to say, according to UK news outlet The Sun.
In other Boyle-related news, world-famous BGT/American Idol judge Simon Cowell revealed his plans to bring Miss Boyle to America for a run of shows. Allegedly, Cowell will be making good use of his connection with Robert Earl, owner of the Planet Hollywood casino and hotel, and is attempting to secure a deal of getting Boyle to perform singing on The Strip.
And if that wasn't enough, Corey Taylor of American metal bands Slipknot and Stone Sour has spoken to the Daily Star of how much he enjoys Boyle's famous performance of "I Dreamed a Dream".
"I put it on and she was fantastic", the often-outspoken frontman said. "The people on that panel were in tears – even Simon Cowell just sat back and said: ‘Oh my God".
He finishes by admitting: "She’s a little bit crazy – but aren’t we all?"
The next stop on the Britain's Got Talent tour is in Newcastle. For more information on the tour, visit the official BGT website.
