CIA director Leon Panetta is not a fan of Dick Cheney's latest criticisms of President Barack Obama it seems. Panetta told New Yorker magazine it appears that Cheney wants the US to be attacked.
Panetta is quoted in the June 22 issue of the magazine:
"I think he smells some blood in the water on the national security issue," Panetta said,"It's almost, a little bit, gallows politics. When you read behind it, it's almost as if he's wishing that this country would be attacked again, in order to make his point."
Cheney has been harsh and heavy with the criticisms against Obama ever since the latest president took office.
On May 21 Cheney stated that the policies in the Obama administration were unwise and that they have been the American people less safe than when Bush was in office.
Cheney was the vice-president for President Bush. He was very involved with the policies regarding interrogations and Gitmo. Those policies have been under fire since before Bush left office and more so when revelations about tortures used were revealed.
