1981 von Brunn attempted to use a legal, non-violent
citizens arrest on the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. At that time he walked into the headquarters of the reserve in Washington with several weapons. He had wanted to hold several of the board members hostage so that they could focus on high interest rates. He was sentenced for 11 years and served 6.5 years in federal prison.
It's said that
