Slumdog's Rubina Ali Producing Memoir

Rubina Ali, one of the child stars of Slumdog Millionaire is producing a memoir about her journey from the slums of Mumbai to walking the red carpet in Hollywood attending the Academy Awards.

London publishers TransWorld says that Slumdog Dreaming: My Journey to the Stars is scheduled to be on the shelves on July 16. Royalties will be split between Rubina and French charity Médecins du Monde. Rubina and her family are currently without a home after the government demolished their wood and tarpaulin home. They have been promised two new homes by the state government of Maharashtra.
