HTC is reportedly preparing to launch two new phones which are supposedly going to be called the Hero and Lancaster. Both phones are expected to run Google's Android mobile phone operating system.
The report, which first surfaced on Chinese news site Economic Daily News, claims that HTC is set to announce the two new phones in London on the 24th June.
According to the rumour, the Hero will be available will come in two flavours - one with a QWERTY keyboard and the other without. The version with the keyboard is reportedly going to be called the HTC Lancaster.
The phones are also expected to run HTC's own TouchFlo 3D software - something which HTC is proud about especially on their Windows Mobile phones such as the Touch Pro and Diamond.
AT&T Wireless are likely to sell the phones exclusively for the first six months the report also said, starting from early in the third quarter this year.
Expected to add weight to the claims are reports surfacing mostly from the United Kingdom that journalists should "save the date" of the 24th of June for a big launch event, but details are still scarce.
