Kung Fu star David Carradine was found dead in a Bangkok hotel. The actor was 73 and is reported to have died from suicide.
David Carradine was born John Arthur Carradine in Hollywood, California into an acting family. He studied drama at San Francisco State University.
Carradine was well known as the character Kwai Chang Caine from the television series Kung Fu. The series had runs in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. He was also the title character in Quentin Taratino's two Kill Bill movies.
Carradine was married in 2004 to his current wife Annie.
Thai police say that the actor hung himself in a closet in his hotel room. He was found by a maid at the hotel Thursday morning.
The police said that he had been dead for at least 12 hours and that there was no sign of a struggle.
On Wednesday evening he had been expected at a restaurant by the film crew of his latest program, the movie Stretch. When Carradine didn't show up the others thought that he was resting because of his age.
